JHP’s Highest Priority is the Safety of its Clients
Hello friends, family, and clients of Jeri Hoag Photography. First and foremost, our hearts go out to all who have been affected by the Coronavirus outbreak. Our thoughts and prayers are with each and every one of you. We look forward to a sense of normalcy to return when all of this has passed.
Because we work closely with newborns, small children and pregnant women (who are all vulnerable at this time), it is our duty to ensure all clients are protected during their photography session. Due to the current Coronavirus outbreak, we have introduced additional safety measures to our studio.
Cleaning
We want you to rest in confidence when booking our studio. As a result of the standard flu season, as well as the current Coronavirus pandemic, we have increased and altered our cleaning practices and procedures in the interest of our clients.
JHP has always made sure to clean props before/after every session. We are taking preventative actions to help stop the spread of germs by enhancing our deep cleaning procedures. We are now sanitizing all touch points including restroom hard surfaces, door handles, couches, etc before and after every session. We are also Lysoling the air and soft surfaces between every session.
Preventative Measures
During every newborn session Jeri wears protective gloves. Before she puts on the gloves she washes her hands thoroughly. This is standard procedure for a newborn photography session. Moving forward, gloves will be worn for every session until the threat of the virus wanes. Jeri also has a face mask that she can wear.
We also ask that only the person being photographed comes with one parent, two if both parents intend to be photographed. Please leave all other family members at home. This will help reduce the likelihood of a virus being introduced to the studio. Additionally, we will be asking our clients to take extra precautions in the studio, and this information will be added to your prep guide.
Only one session will be scheduled per day in the studio which is why JHP is cancelling its Easter/Spring mini sessions. JHP has also temporarily suspended her hospital sessions at Goshen and Elkhart Hospitals. This is in an effort to reduce the chances of exposure to Covid-19, and in turn, the exposure of the virus to all clients. We will consider doing more than one session per day if the sessions are done outdoors on-location.
Lastly, Jeri is currently offering ordering sessions for her clients via the internet, rather than coming back to the studio and meeting in person for gallery reveals and ordering sessions.
Flexible Policies
JHP also would like to inform you of its flexible policies. If you or anyone in your family falls ill, or if you desire to reschedule your session for a later date due to the virus, JHP will gladly make that happen. The session fee already paid will go towards the rescheduled session so long as the studio is notified 24 hours before the scheduled session was to take place. The funds paid are valid for future sessions for up to one year of the original purchase date. Our hope at Jeri Hoag Photography is that our customers feel that for now, they can book as normal. But if circumstances change in the future, plans can be altered by either the client or JHP without penalty.
Before Your Session at Jeri Hoag Photography
If you or your child have been in contact with anyone who has tested positive for Coronavirus, or if you or your child has a cough, fever, or are feeling even the slightest bit unwell, we ask that you call JHP right away to reschedule your session. We know that this might be a bit of an inconvenience. However, in order to keep all of JHP’s clients well, especially those who are the most vulnerable, we must work together to limit the potential of any virus coming into the studio.
