Meet sweet Mr. Easton!
For at least a year, Easton’s mom and dad tried to get pregnant. They visited doctors and had numerous tests ran. Finally, they decided to travel to Fort Wayne, IN to visit a fertility specialist. It was there that they learned that mom’s body was not ovulating on its own. Mom was put on medication that would help her to ovulate and after only two cycles of medication, mom learned that she was pregnant.
After learning that she was pregnant, mom decided to have a bit of fun with dad. She used an at-home-pregnancy-test and left the positive results in the bathroom. When dad woke up he went to the bathroom and immediately came back out saying, “Um, what’s that mean?”
Mom feels that her pregnancy went rather smoothly. She never experienced morning sickness or any serious complications. The only difficulties came in the last few months of her pregnancy. Mom was unable to sleep well in bed because of the way that she carried Easton, so she slept in the recliner in the living room! Mom also experienced some heavy swelling, making her unable to wear her wedding rings and only able to wear flipflops.
Mom and dad had a name picked out before they learned of baby’s gender. When they learned they were to have a boy, dad came out of the doctor’s office jumping up and down. They discarded the name they had chosen and dad told mom that he liked the name Easton. It stuck.
Easton was born five weeks early. Thankfully, all went well and he was born so very healthy. Mom went to the hospital one day, having no idea that Easton was on his way. The nurse quickly informed mom and dad that mom’s water had broken and that they were staying to have a baby. Mom’s first thought was, “Oh my, it’s too early for him to arrive.” Fortunately, things progressed smoothly and rapidly and Easton, a six pound baby boy, was soon delivered.
