Whether you’re refreshing your LinkedIn profile, updating your website, or need a headshot for the new job, your headshot should feel like you; genuine, polished, and full of personality. My goal is to create portraits that feel professional yet approachable, with natural expressions and confident energy. Sessions are available either in the studio, on-location or outside around the scenic southern Utah area, depending on the look you’re going for.
You’ll receive clear posing guidance throughout the session so you feel relaxed, confident, and never stiff or unsure. The experience is simple, fun, and tailored to highlight your best self, because a great headshot isn’t just about how you look, it’s about how you feel in front of the camera. Frequently Asked Questions
What do I wear for my headshot session?
Wear something you’re comfortable and confident in as it will show in your photos if you’re not. Bring a few different pressed and wrinkle free outfits with different colors, textures and necklines- tops, jackets and dresses. Leave the puffy sleeves or sleeveless shirts at home. Jewelry is great, but keep it simple so that the focus stays on you. If you wear glasses and you can get a pair of glasses from the optometrist without lenses that’s a great idea otherwise we have to work through dealing with glare. Bring 3-4 outfits then we’ll go through and narrow down to 1-2 outfits depending on how many images you want to order.
How long will it take to get my photos back?
Within 48 hours after your session you will receive an email with a link to your gallery. After you choose the images you want to purchase it will take about 2-3 weeks (in the winter and spring) and 3-4 weeks (in the summer and fall) to get them back fully edited along with the products you order. If you’re just ordering digitals they can be ready within 1-2 weeks.
Is retouching included?
Yes! Professional (natural-looking) retouching is done on each image you purchase.
How long does a shoot last?
For headshots it’s usually about 45 minutes.
Where will my session take place?
Usually headshots are done in a studio setting, but you can certainly do them outside or on-location.
What about hair and makeup?
Professional hair and makeup isn’t required, but highly recommended. If you want it done then let me know when scheduling that way I can be sure to get it set up right away with one of my hair and makeup artist. There is an extra charge to add this to your session. This will help you feel and look your best.
What if I need to reschedule?
If you change up to 72 hours ahead of time so there’s no charge, but after that there’s a $100 fee. If you cancel entirely you will lose the session fee retainer you put down to hold your spot on my calendar.
