Graduating college is a major achievement and deserves to be celebrated and remembered with images as meaningful as the moment itself. Your portrait session will take place on-location at your campus where we’ll create stunning natural portraits that reflect your personality and everything you’ve worked so hard to accomplish and achieve.
Before your session, you’ll receive a session prep guide to help you feel fully prepared. To make your session even more personal, I encourage you to bring a few outfit options: your cap and gown, the outfit you wore or will wear to graduation, collegiate gear, and any cultural attire that represents who you are.
During the session, I’ll guide you with gentle posing and expression coaching so that you feel confident and relaxed in front of the camera.

Frequently Asked Questions
When is the best time to take college graduation photos?
After your graduation commencement so you can get the stress of graduation behind you. Then you can enjoy your session. If you can’t wait, then plan for Spring when you get your cap and gown.
What should I wear?
I suggest wearing the outfit you wore to your actual graduation along with your cap, gown and cords/sash. Also bring along a few extra outfits that you can wear without your gown. I suggest darker or vibrant colors as they photograph better than light/pastel colors. Avoid busy patterns. Also consider bringing cultural outfits and collegiate apparel to add a more personal touch.
How many outfits should I bring for my grad photos?
Pick out 3-5 outfits to bring along then we will go though and narrow it down to 2-3 outfits to wear.
How long does a shoot last?
It usually takes about 90 minutes, but will depend on outfit changes.
How long will it take to get my pictures back?
Within 48 hours after your session you will receive an email with a link to your gallery. After you choose the images you want to purchase it will take about 2-3 weeks to get them back fully edited along with the products you order.
Where will my photos be taken at?
I highly recommend having your shoot be done right on campus.
What about hair and makeup?
Professional hair and makeup isn’t required, but highly recommended. If you want it done then let me know when scheduling that way I can be sure to get it set up right away with one of my hair and makeup artist. There is an extra charge to add this to your session. This will help you feel and look your best.
What if I need to reschedule?
If you change up to 72 hours ahead of time there’s no charge, but after that there’s a $50 fee. If you cancel entirely you will lose the session fee retainer you put down to hold your spot on my calendar.
What if the weather is bad on the day of my outdoor session?
No worries — we’ll reschedule if needed, or switch to a studio session if you prefer. Flexibility is always part of the experience.
