Boudoir photography with Jeri Hoag Photography, “gave me permission to look and feel sexy being myself.”
Trying new things can bring out a variety of feelings – anxiousness, excitement, fear, and so on. Miss B was already feeling a bit nervous before her first ever boudoir photography session with Jeri Hoag Photography. Then, only a week before her session, she began feeling bloated and out of sorts. Miss B seriously considered rescheduling with Jeri. But in an effort to commit to herself, to prioritize and love herself always, she chose to keep the appointment. Her session with JHP provided her with the opportunity to practice loving herself exactly how she existed in that moment. And the results were phenomenal.
Boudoir photography with Jeri Hoag Photography, “gave me permission to look and feel sexy being myself.” It boosted Miss B’s self-confidence and revealed to her that she is willing to try new things. It also brought to light just how much influence her inner voice had over her. Miss B said, “the little voice in my mind can be a thief of opportunity to a really fun experience.”
To women considering a boudoir photography session with Jeri, she informed us that some nervousness is to be expected. However, she mentioned that once she was mentally warmed up, the session became incredibly easy to enjoy. She also said, “Don’t psych yourself out! I think there’s a lot to be said for loving ourselves just as we are.”
Miss B admires Jeri’s, “ability to work with a woman’s natural body,” and was thankful that Jeri had poses in mind for her to implement. She enjoyed her time with Jeri from start to finish and had a lovely time getting dolled up, trying new poses, and wearing special outfits. Miss B realized that she was quite a bit more comfortable in front of the camera than she had anticipated, and was able to get better acquainted with herself and her comfort levels.
She also suggests that women, especially younger ones, make commitments to themselves and work on loving themselves during all phases of life, even the trickier times – when their weight is up, or their skin isn’t clear, or they find themselves unhappy with where they are in life. She says that if you can love yourself then, if you can really admire yourself when you are not all dolled up and feeling your best, you will be able to truly love yourself, “with or without makeup and lace.”
It seems through it all, Miss B is informing us that true love for ourselves comes when we most deeply know ourselves and choose to accept and love what we honestly see. In fact, maybe we are not fully capable of loving ourselves until we know and accept our deepest and most real selves.
And while Miss B’s gal pals and significant other have seen her “sneak peek” images, no one has seen her final portrait collection yet. Her girlfriends were the ultimate hype women and her boyfriend was intrigued, we are certain. As for her final images, she plans to send a new image to her boyfriend on each of his work trips this summer. How exciting! In this instance JHP bets that absence really will make the heart grow fonder.
